Project Purpose

For our project we chose to analyze the motion of a person swinging on a swing and then jumping off. The reason we chose this was because it incorporates the simple harmonic motion of a pendulum and projectile motion, two key aspects in physics. With this project we are able to analyze both in a real life setting. We titled our project Playground Physics because of our use of physics to analyze a typical playground event. So I hope you enjoy what we have found out about this motion through our project and analysis.
